Alright, so I little preface for you: Today is the two-year anniversary for my girlfriend and I. When we started going out, I wrote her a story, a lovey-dovey one— it had it’s own soundtrack. She’s been begging me for a sequel for the last two years, so here it is:

Love endures. It’s a long road, but love endures. It had been a while since she’d seen him that way, but the look in their eyes was enough to make the world stop. The usual and mundane was re-animated in a fresh spirit. She was on top of the world.

He hadn’t seen her in a while, but she was as beautiful as ever. Her growth was intricate detailing of the already pristine exterior. Her eyes were as blue as the southern sky, which alluded him for far too long.  They embraced, honestly, it never stopped.

She was happy, he was happy; and they were happy they were happy.

It’d been a while since they had a routine, however they found it settling. Routine was found in an instant. But their absence proved a gracious appreciation for routines which overlapped. The days were brighter and the nights were shorter. A resonance of spirit was abound for all to bask in.

Tranquility was the atmosphere around the two; a calm sense of complacency. This was the love that endured, and this was the love that would see them through.
